Road Report: Week of Nov. 22
Construction season is here, so we’re giving you a weekly look at what projects are done, where you’ll find traffic impacts and what’s scheduled next.
What’s done
Work on 41st Street wrapped up late last week.
What’s underway
At 26th Street near I-29, all concrete has been poured and all traffic control will be removed before Thanksgiving, meaning work will be done for the year.
Work continues on 12th Street near I-29.
Beginning today, there will be two lanes closed and one lane open in each direction to allow crews to do joint repairs and resealing. Work is expected to be completed by Wednesday.
After that, one of those lanes will be reopened, so there will just be the middle lane closed in each direction. All lanes are expected to be reopened by Dec. 1.
What’s next
The city held a public meeting last week to introduce one of next year’s big projects: the reconstruction of Phillips Avenue from Eighth to 10th streets, including work at Ninth Street and River Road.
Watch for that along with information on several other large projects in the months ahead.
