Parade of Lights award winners announced

Six winners were recognized on a night that filled downtown Sioux Falls for the annual Parade of Lights.

Friday night’s parade, presented by First Bank & Trust, drew more than 60 entries, including new floats and old favorites.

This year’s parade theme was “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” in celebration of the Washington Pavilion’s outdoor tree lighting ceremony to kick off this year’s event. The six awards and winners are:

  • Best Use of Lights: Thorton Flooring & Design Center
  • Best Workmanship: A Plus Towing
  • Spirit of Sioux Falls: Schulte Subaru
  • Mayor’s Choice: Revolution Yoga & Cycle
  • Downtown Sioux Falls Award: Special Olympics South Dakota and Bluestone Landscape
  • First Bank & Trust Hometown Pride Award: Roosevelt High School Color Guard & Drumline
