This week’s My 605 is Jacob Bunde, vice president of architecture for Empire Cos.

My home in the 605 is: An acreage near Lyons, South Dakota.

The biggest reason I live in the 605 is: I’ve been a South Dakotan all my life; I love being near family, friends and open spaces with easy access to travel.

After home, I spend the most time here: Anywhere outdoors.

When I need to get away, you’ll find me:  Traveling to a sandy beach or a mountain getaway.

The best meal I ever ate in the 605 was at: Skogen Kitchen in Custer.

My go-to coffee shop is: I haven’t gotten into coffee yet, but Power Plates is my go-to for a quick snack and caffeine fix.

My favorite place to grab an adult beverage in the 605 is: The Treasury.

When I need to experience the great outdoors, you’ll find me: With my bow chasing adventure in the middle of nowhere.

The spot I’d recommend for a date is: Great Shots or Frontier Climbing.

The best pizza in the 605 is: Papa Woody’s downtown.

When my friends and I get together, you’ll probably find us: Throwing axes and shooting guns.

The place you never can go wrong taking kids is: Any one of our amazing campgrounds throughout the state. Buffalo Ridge campground in Custer is our family favorite.

When I want to meet new people in the 605 I go: Hit up a new gym! There is surprisingly a large number of places to break a sweat in Sioux Falls!

My best memory in the 605 is: My most recent best memories is of my friends and family coming together to create the Outpost marketing tour. It turned into an epic trip across the 605 for an amazingly memorable experience with a lot of hard work and fun!

The one thing I’m least crazy about in the 605 is: The extreme wind and cold.
