This week’s My 605 features Amanda Millan, business owner, Instagram influencer and owner of pigeon Ping.

My home in the 605 is: Home of the World’s Only Corn Palace: Mitchell!

The biggest reason I live in the 605 is: My family. I can’t imagine raising my children anywhere else at this time. South Dakota has great values!

After home, I spend the most time here: My yoga studio. I’m a co-owner in The Hot Spot Infrared Fitness Studio. Yoga has been a passion of mine, and I love that I could help bring it to my community.

When I need to get away, you’ll find me: So I do love the ocean, and unfortunately we don’t have that around here. I do try to make a trip or two a year to see the ocean and hang on the beach. It’s my time to relax, reset and appreciate nature’s beauty.

The best meal I ever ate in the 605 was at: Parker’s in Sioux Falls.

My go-to coffee shop is: To be honest, I’m not a big coffee drinker, but I really enjoy the atmosphere at Josiah’s in Sioux Falls.

My favorite place to grab an adult beverage in the 605 is: Downtown Sioux Falls Bin201. I like when they have live music and you’re able to sit outside.

When I need to experience the great outdoors, you’ll find me: At the river or lake.

The spot I’d recommend for a date is: Crawford’s in downtown Sioux Falls has a fun atmosphere.

The best pizza in the 605 is: George’s Pizza in Brookings.

When my friends and I get together, you’ll probably find us: In Chamberlain at the river.

The place you never can go wrong taking kids is: Sky Zone. My girls have so much fun and burn lots of energy off.

When I want to meet new people in the 605 I go: This one is hard because there are so many cool places to meet new people. I have met a lot of people at fitness studios: The Hot Spot, AMT, Revolution and The Shop. Really any gym/fitness center is a great place!

My best memory in the 605 is: Our family really enjoys the Mitchell Stampede Rodeo. It’s been a tradition for many years. My kids look forward to all the fun activities that go on during that week in our hometown.

Also the blogger closet sale has been a super fun tradition, and I have made so many great memories from it. Plus the relationships I have built with those girls will stay with me for life.

The one thing I’m least crazy about in the 605 is: Snow!!! I’m not a fan of cold weather.
