Hey high school seniors, now’s your chance to earn $1,000 when you apply for First National Bank’s 2025 scholarships!

You don’t even need to be a customer of The First National Bank in Sioux Falls to apply for one of five available scholarships.

Now that the application process is open, let’s quickly run through what you need to do next.

How to apply for First National Bank’s 2025 scholarships

The process to apply for these scholarships is easy — no essay required. All you have to do is submit the following through the form on First National Bank’s website:

  • An application.
  • A copy of your high school transcript.
  • A 30- to 60-second video answering this year’s prompt.

They like to get to know scholarship applicants on a more personal level, which is why they’ve selected the following prompt for 2025:

Our FIRST Values are not just words – they are truly felt by our teammates, customers, shareholders and communities. Review our FIRST Values, and tell us which value you appreciate most and why.

If you really want to nail this part, you can dig deeper into the stories of First National Bank’s values below. You have five to choose from, so start with whichever intrigues you the most:

And although this prompt is about First National Bank’s values, what they really want to know is how they apply to you.

Completing the application process

As soon as your video is ready, it’s time to hit up your favorite coffee shop and work through the steps below.

  1. Download and complete the two-page application.
  2. Request your official high school transcript from your school.
  3. Create and post your 30- to 60-second video on YouTubeVimeoTikTok or Instagram Reels. Choose Public or Unlisted when uploading your video, and include the link with your other application materials. If submitting a TikTok or Instagram Reel, make sure your account is set to Public.
  4. Upload these items using the form on First National Bank’s website. All requirements listed above must be met, or it will result in disqualification of the applicant.

Each applicant must be a graduating area high school senior who plans to attend an accredited institution of higher learning – public or private – as a full-time student, and the scholarship is not renewable.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m.– Monday, March 31, so get started here.
