Great Bear closes for the season
All the warm weather — plus the forecast — proved too much for Great Bear Ski Valley, which announced today it has closed for the season.

“It was a roller coaster of a season, but we are proud of what our team accomplished,” general manager Dan Grider said in a statement. “We still got to see many smiling faces and made new memories with our winter family.”
Although the seasons are unpredictable, “we are mindful of the fact that our season passholders did not have as many opportunities to hit the slopes this winter as we had hoped for due to the unseasonably warm weather,” Grider continued. “Therefore, we are offering a $100 credit for current season passholders toward a pass for next season.”
A $50 credit for the 2024-25 season also will be issued for guests who had a rental season pass and the tubing add-on option. In addition, punch cards, buddy passes and gift certificates from the 2023-24 season will be accepted through Jan. 31, 2025.
