Calling all artists: Time to upgrade this building

Do you have a vision for the side of this building? The law firm moving in wants to see it.

Lockwood & Zahrbock Kool Law Office is holding a mural competition designed to offer artist exposure, community involvement and downtown beautification.

This is the side of the firm’s new building at the foot of the 10th Street viaduct heading into the heart of downtown.

The attorneys are offering a $5,000 cash prize to the person or people whose design application for the mural is selected.

The office will choose the top five designs, share them on its website and Facebook page and allow the community to vote on their favorite.

Designs are due by 5 p.m. June 1 and must be sent via email to Tressa Zahrbock Kool at [email protected] or Rhonda Lockwood at [email protected] or postmarked or hand-delivered by then to the current office location: Lockwood & Zahrbock Kool Law Office, 400 N. Main Ave., Suite 202, Sioux Falls, SD 57104.

Community voting will be June 28-July 5, and the winner will be announced no later than July 31.
