First Bank & Trust and Coffea Roasterie are celebrating five years at Dawley Farm Village with five days of tasty reasons to stop in.

“Over the last five years, we’ve observed exciting change in the Dawley Farm Village and on the east side of Sioux Falls,” said Breanna Garbers, retail branch manager.

“It’s been energizing to watch new businesses enter our development and the business community welcome new growth with open arms. Seeing businesses partner to attract and draw individuals to the east side of Sioux Falls has been so encouraging. The city has been so supportive of the businesses and the development by continuing to improve infrastructure that allows for growth.”

Because the bank and coffee shop decided to share a space, “the open and inviting atmosphere continues to deliver as designed in serving as a collaborative space where individuals can work remotely, study, conduct meetings and enjoy connecting with others on a personal level,” she added.

Every day this week will bring a gift basket giveaway in return for a donation to Feeding South Dakota, plus the following special offers:

Monday: Buy one, get one Coffea drinks all day.

Tuesday: Free dessert all day.

Wednesday: Free Coffea drinks between 7 a.m. and noon:

  • 7 to 8 a.m.: Drip coffee.
  • 8 to 9 a.m.: Butterscotch latte.
  • 9 to 10 a.m.: Cafe miel.
  • 10 to 11 a.m.: Pour-overs.
  • 11 a.m. to noon: All teas, including chai tea lattes.

Thursday: Hot chocolate bar all day.

Friday: Last day to donate food items for entries to the PBR: Unleash the Best Tour giveaway April 2.

All week, you’ll receive one entry for every five nonperishable food items for the prize package that includes six loge box seats and two VIP parking passes. Bring your food items to First Bank & Trust’s Dawley location. These are the most-needed items at Feeding South Dakota:

  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Cereal, hot and cold
  • Boxed meals such as Hamburger Helper
  • Canned chicken and tuna
  • Canned pasta
  • Canned sauces
  • Dry pasta and rice
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned fruits
  • Soups and stews

“We are excited to celebrate five great years by giving back and having some fun,” Garbers said. “It was incredibly important for us to work with a nonprofit who has a need this time of year. Donations tend to be high through year end, leaving a lapse during the cold winter months. We also recognize there are food insecurities in our community, and we are really striving to make a difference and help solve a need. We also have fun events planned to simply thank all who have supported us over the years. Our hope is to show the development and our customers how grateful we are and how much we value the community we live in.”

Emerging from the pandemic and with Dawley construction settling down on the north end of the development, “we are looking forward to the busy seasons of spring and summer,” Garbers said. “As always, you’ll continue to see some incredible and creative coffees in Coffea’s spring lineup, including a Valentine’s Day menu. And you can watch for more fun community events in the year to come.”
