Nov. 4: Downtown Boutique Crawl

Shop 11 downtown boutiques from 4 to 8 p.m. and each will contribute to a prize package you can win by visiting.

The drawing will be Saturday, and look for special offers from the following participating boutiques:

Nov. 4: Jazz Jam at R Wine Bar

With the weather changing, now’s a better time than ever to relax over a glass of wine. R Wine Bar & Kitchen is bringing back its popular Jazz Jam, which is described as “an open mic night for jazz.” All night, local jazz musicians will get the chance to sit in with the house band. The Jazz Jam will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Nov. 5-7: Fight like a Ninja hockey tournament

Hockey all weekend and for a good cause. The annual Fight Like a Ninja women’s hockey tournament will feature over 20 games played by 12 teams. Games will be played at the Scheel’s IcePlex. The Fight Like a Ninja tournament is held every year, featuring 14U and 19U women’s hockey teams, to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Tickets for any of the games can be purchased at fightlikeaninja.org, which also includes a link for donations and connections to community resources.

Nov. 5-7: Artists of the Plains show and sale

The Artists of the Plains show and sale is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and the event promises to mark the occasion accordingly. This year, over 25 artists will display their work, with a special gallery exhibition celebrating 40 years of Artists of the Plains. Work ranging from jewelry to painting will be available to buy at the Hilton Garden Inn. The show, sponsored by Augustana University, is free to the public. Nov. 6: Bingo + Food Truck at Severance Brewing Co.

Severance Brewing Co. will be hosting bingo games and the Old Skool Jersey Rippers & Balls food truck. Specializing in deep fried hot dogs and Italian rice balls, the food truck will be in the Severance parking lot from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Bingo will take place from 7 to 9 p.m.

Nov. 6: Saturday Morning Live

Anyone over 55 who’s looking for something to do on a Saturday morning, look no further than the Oyate Community Center. Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation will have a “Saturday Morning Live” event, which will be full of karaoke, indoor yard games, ’80s trivia and more. No registration is required for the event, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
