New Pavilion exhibit takes you inside favorite childhood stories

Step into the worlds of Peter Rabbit and other childhood tales with a new traveling exhibit at the Washington Pavilion.
Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites comes from the Minnesota Children’s Museum.
The exhibit takes an interactive approach with the books “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” by Beatrix Potter, “The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats and “Where’s Spot?” by Eric Hill.

Kids are brought into true-to-life and bilingual — English and Spanish — learning environments.
“This exhibit will spark a child’s joy of reading by allowing them to actually play in Peter Rabbit’s garden or use their imagination to find Spot the dog,” said Brandon Hanson, director of museums.

Search for Peter’s lost belongings, harvest vegetables and play in Peter’s burrow.
The exhibit based on “Where’s Spot?” includes ways for babies and toddlers to explore sounds and images through interactive wall areas.
It will be at the Washington Pavilion through May 30.
