May 13: Yoga at The Bear

Here’s a relaxing way to wind down your day. Great Bear Recreation Park will hold free yoga with a certified instructor from 7 to 8 p.m. All skill levels are welcome. Bring a mat, and get there 10 minutes early, weather permitting. Wine or beer will be available for purchase after evening classes for those who would like to stick around and relax on the deck.

May 13-15: “The Fantasticks” outdoor theater

The Good Night Theatre Collective is bringing the show outside for its rendition of the Broadway classic “The Fantasticks.”

The show will be held in the Paladino Hohm Sculpture Garden at the Washington Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. May 13-15. Enjoy drinks, and be wowed by the local talent. Make sure you buy tickets ahead of time.

 

May 13-16: Bike trade-in days

Bicycle Trading Co. comes to Spoke-N-Sport this week offering the chance to trade in all your used bicycles, wheels, frames, parts or accessories for instant store credit. Clothing and shoes are accepted. The only items not accepted are department store bicycles. Click here to learn more.

May 15: Armed Forces Day

The Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce’s military and veterans affairs committee is hosting the annual Armed Forces Day program at 10:30 a.m. at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance. If you’ve not checked out all there is to do at The Alliance, this is a great time to do so while honoring those who serve.

May 15-16, May 22-23: Spring Parade of Homes

Looking for a new house or some inspiration to update your current one? Tour more than 40 new homes from $200,000 to more than $1 million. It runs from 1 to 5 p.m. this weekend and next. Click here to learn more.

May 15: Beer & Poetry Open Mic Night

The Blot Collective presents Beer & Poetry Open Mic Night at the The Full Circle Book Co-op from 8 to 11 p.m. Get there early to sign up to read, grab a beer, and get a seat. It has been known to fill up fast. Bring your original works, your favorite published poems, or just come to listen. There’s a suggested donation of $5 to support the collective.

May 16: Love Sioux Falls City-Wide Worship at the Levitt

Multiple churches are joining together for this citywide worship service from 4 to 6 p.m. at Levitt at the Falls.
