Halloween pumpkin float coming to Dawley Farm Village

Jump in the pool, play, float and bob in search of a perfect pumpkin at the SafeSplash Swim School at Dawley Farm Village.

On Oct. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m., the Dawley location at 603 S. Highline Place will host a Kids Pumpkin Float.

It’s $3 per swimmer, which includes a pumpkin, and you must register for one of four available windows of time. Click here to register.

Each session in the pool will be 20 minutes of fun, and one adult is welcome to accompany kids in the water. Those age 5 and younger or Beginner 2 and lower in swim lessons must be accompanied by an adult in the pool.

After leaving the pool, kids can enjoy a pumpkin decorating station and pick up a Halloween goodie bag. Everyone who posts a pumpkin and tags it on Facebook will be entered to win a free month of swim lessons.

“We think this is going to be a really fun event for families,” said Dan Sobocinski, franchisee for the Sioux Falls SafeSplash Swim Schools. “We also think it will be popular, so we encourage you to register soon.”

SafeSplash opened at Dawley Farm Village earlier this year.

“We’ve really enjoyed being in the neighborhood and meeting all the swimmers and future swimmers who live nearby,” Sobocinski said. “This is the time of year when many people enjoy picking up swim lessons — it’s a nice way to get back in the water and improve your water safety ahead of winter vacations and, of course, next summer.”
