Sept. 11: Car show
Come to Legends on Lake Lorraine, 2815 S. Westlake Drive, for a car show in honor of Assisted Living Week from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Enjoy classic cars, live music by Mogen’s Heroes from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and food and drink options from Harry’s Yellow Submarine, The Corndog Company and Big Lost Meadery & Brewery.

Sept. 13: Indigenous artists
Good Earth at Blood Run State Park will host the fourth annual Indigenous Artists of the Great Plains, an event with Native arts and music from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Kobe Jordan will give a teepee demonstration. Food will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sales are cash only. The event will benefit the nonprofit TiWakan.

Sept. 13: Outdoor festival
Roots of Brasil will host Roots Fest, a free-admission, family-friendly outdoor festival, from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at 201 N. Weber Ave. Festival highlights include a diverse lineup of local musicians spanning genres from bossa nova and samba to rock and folk, a food tent and beer garden with local and international cuisine, and a kids’ zone with interactive games and activities.

Sept. 13: Young musicians
Support the Sioux Falls Youth Orchestra and band camp with a fundraising event that includes some of the city’s best musicians. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Icon Event Hall and DaDa Gastropub, 402 N. Main Ave. Food and beverage will be served. Cost is $20 or $10 for kids younger than 12. Featured musicians will include Zach Dresch, Andrew Reinartz, Reuben Rodriguez, Xavier Pastrano, Jeffrey Thormodsgard, Trish Darell, Valerie Arens, Lauren Shaver, Jimmy Speirs, Amanda Bremmon, Joel Shotwell, Brian Hanegan and Nate Herbst.

Sept. 14: Skate party
Bring your own skates or rent them at Jacobson Plaza, 810 N. Phillips Ave., from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday when Sioux Falls Parks & Recreation hosts Skate Party: Rolling Through the Ages. Come dressed in your best retro gear from the 1970s, ’80s and beyond and skate to epic music. There will be fun skating games and a photo booth.

Sept. 14: Tribute show
The first two nights of “Sweet Dreams: A Patsy Cline Tribute Show” are sold out, but you can buy tickets for Sunday’s event, which will begin at 7 p.m. at Club David, 214 W. 10th St. Alex Newcomb Weiland will sing Cline’s songs with David Mercer on the keyboard. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
