The week ahead: June 26-July 2
The Week Ahead is our hand-picked event guide to the next seven days in Sioux Falls and slightly beyond. For guaranteed placement or to promote your event ahead of time, email [email protected] about a featured event listing.
June 26: Children’s business fair
Acton Academy Sioux Falls will host its annual Acton Children’s Business Fair from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Startup Sioux Falls, 100 E. Sixth St. More than 50 booths featuring young entrepreneurs will be open, showing how kids can develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy and sell to customers at a one-day marketplace. It will be followed by a free concert at Levitt at the Falls.

June 26: Meet Your Farmer
Thursday is one of two chances to meet local growers who bring homegrown goodness to your table. From 6 to 7:30 p.m., representatives of Caselli’s Market Garden, Dakota Fresh Food Hub and Tillford Rye Farm will showcase their products at the Sioux Falls Food Co+op, 410 W. 18th St. Weather permitting, the event will take place on the patio; you can enjoy dinner as well. On July 8, Ripe & Roasted, Prairie Greens Produce and Blue Sky Vegetable Co. will take part during the same hours.

June 28: Falls Art Market
The Falls Art Market has moved to a new location, but it remains cool, relaxed and free, featuring original artwork and artful activities. It will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at North Metli Place near Sixth Street, just east of the Levitt Shell. The Jon VanTran Trio will play Americana and folk music from 10 a.m. to noon. Young entrepreneurs will be there from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

June 28: Bikes & Brews
The second annual Bikes & Brews 2025 will offer a family-fun bike ride or walk in a fundraiser to cure congenital heart disease. It will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Jacobson Plaza on Phillips Avenue with an after-celebration at Severance Brewing Co. at 11 a.m. Heartworks will provide lunch with the Feed the Cure food truck. Register to ride for $20 per bike, with children 12 and younger free, or $5 for the 1-mile walk. Learn more here.

June 28: Block party
The businesses that occupy the 81 Gardens retail center are hosting a block party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. It will include pop-up vendors, live music from Eternity Awakened, special offers and prizes.

June 28: Test rides
Have you been wanting to try an e-bike? Here’s your chance for an electrifying ride. Spoke-N-Sport is rolling out its entire fleet of e-bikes for test rides, including models like the Gazell Medeo and Kona Dew HD. You can give e-bikes a try from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at 3401 S. Cliff Ave. The staff will walk you through the features and send you off on a safe, scenic route right from the shop — just steps from the bike trail. Post-ride refreshments will be served.

June 28-29: Pop Culture Con
The annual 605 Pop Culture Con raises funds and awareness for the fight against cancer. All money from door entry, autographs, photo-ops and musical performances goes toward a charity supporting assistance for families dealing with pediatric cancer and support for pediatric cancer research. This year’s event will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, 1201 S. West Ave. You can purchase tickets and learn more here.

June 29: Fireworks demonstration
Fire Bros Fireworks will demonstrate its latest and greatest fireworks about 9 p.m. Sunday on the northwest corner of highways 42 and 11 — south of Brandon between Willow Run Golf Course and Rowena. It’s free to attend, but parking will be limited. Come early for fellowship, yard games and treats.
