Popular Montgomery’s warehouse sale returns to Sioux Falls this week

If you’re looking for some of the best deals of the year, get ready for the Montgomery’s Sioux Falls warehouse sale.

Held June 15-17 at the Montgomery’s warehouse at 808 W. Cherokee St., you’ll find merchandise from nearly every department, said Eric Sinclair, president and owner of Montgomery’s in Sioux Falls, Madison, Watertown and Aberdeen.

“You’ll find furniture for every room of your home, outdoor patio furniture, accessories, lighting – not just lamps but a variety of fixtures for dining, foyers, living rooms, bedrooms – and you’ll find an amazing selection of flooring, including carpet and luxury vinyl plank,” he said. “We’re also overstocked on mattresses, and we’ll have beautiful, high-end luxury, floor-model mattresses at this sale.”

This is the first Sioux Falls warehouse sale in several years, he said. There’s an auditorium show in Madison each March and a warehouse sale in Aberdeen in August.

“This sale has something for everyone, and when you can find deals such as these — up to 75 percent off in some cases,” Sinclair said. “It’s a great time to add extra touches to your home or lake cabin or to get your college student ready for dorm or apartment living. When it comes to the flooring deals, not only private homeowners but also rental property owners will find the product and volume they need for their updates.”

One key piece of advice for bargain hunters: Arrive early.

“If the annual Madison sale is any indication, we’ll have a group of early birds waiting for the doors to open at 9 a.m.,” Sinclair said. “But if you can’t come early, don’t be discouraged! Get here when you can. We are open until 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and until 5 p.m. Saturday. We will be resetting the floor throughout the sale, and we have a lot of overstock merchandise to move.”

All warehouse sales are cash and carry with no returns.

“We will have staff on hand at the sale to answer questions, and we encourage customers to look items over carefully before purchasing,” Sinclair said. “That being said, these are not scratch-and-dent items. Most are brand-new or floor models or custom-order returns that we don’t put back on the sales floor.”
